Amard Academy is the first Zebidar Foundation project that aims to present talented students from underserved communities the opportunity to actualize their potential into becoming the next generation of world class leaders.
Amard Academy is located in Gurage Zone Gubrye town in close proximity to Welkite University.
Amard Academy is jointly owned by Zebidar Foundation and the Gurage Zone Administration.
Students will be selected from elementary schools from all woredas in the Gurage Zone and other regions of Ethiopia through a competitive process.
The student selection criteria will be based on students class room performance as evidenced by their (Grades 6,7, and 8) transcript, Grade 8 national exam results. Students will also sit for entrance exam set by the Academy.
Zebidar Foundation has commissioned a business plan study to identify opportunities for self-sustaining ventures.
Yes, Amard Academy welcomes talented students from other regions of Ethiopia through a standard process set to select students from Gurage Zone.
